1. Get a cookbook, or go to one website. The easiest way in putting together a meal plan, is to not be overwhelmed by 20 cookbooks on your kitchen table. With one cookbook, compiling your meals for the week is as straightforward as flagging the pages that you are going to use. You can the meals down, copy the pages, or carry the book with you to the grocery store
2. Get your kids to contribute. Many parents plan meals without input from their kids. Brainstorming with them for a list of 30 or more dinners they like just once will give you a list to reference. rule to take 3 recipes form your cookbook, 3 from your kids preferences, and one night for leftovers.
3. Check your calendar. Now put each meal on your house calendar. Pay attentiveness to the busier days and use those days to have an easy to prepare meal or a Slow cooker meal.
4. Check your pantry and go shopping. Having all the items on hand for the week will be key to getting those meals on the table each night. If you have to head to the store for something at the last minute, you may 'accidentally' swing past the pizza place.
5. Be flexible! If you don't make all the meals while the week, its Ok! Be flexible sufficient to know that having a plan is just a plan. operation is not necessary. The meal plan will help you to get meals on the table in a pinch, and not be knocking at the neighbors door asking for scraps.
